Porthole is developed by Scott Mobile Works LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), operating under the Benchmark Studio brand. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Porthole mobile application ("the App").
By using Porthole, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Information we collect
Account information
When you create a Porthole account, we collect your email address and a password (stored securely and never in plain text).
Integration credentials
To connect your third-party data sources, Porthole collects and stores API keys and credentials you provide. These are encrypted at rest and never shared with third parties.
Usage data
We collect information about how you use the App, including features accessed, screens viewed, and actions taken. This helps us improve Porthole over time.
Device information
We collect basic device information including device type, operating system version, and app version for diagnostic and support purposes.
Push notification tokens
If you enable push notifications, we store a notification token associated with your device to deliver alerts.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App
- Deliver alerts and notifications you have configured
- Respond to your support requests
- Diagnose and fix technical issues
- Communicate updates and changes to the App
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
Third-party services
Porthole uses the following third-party services to operate:
Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure. Your account data and encrypted credentials are stored on Supabase servers. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management. RevenueCat processes in-app purchase data on our behalf. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Firebase (Google) — push notification delivery and analytics. Firebase's privacy policy is available at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
Apple and Google — the App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, which have their own privacy practices.
Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent at any time

Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Integration credentials are encrypted at rest. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at privacy@scottmobileworks.com.
Children's privacy
Porthole is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@scottmobileworks.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
